e-Log+S can be run as a stand alone software application where timesheet data can be entered manually if required or the hours of attendance simply accepted from the shift patterns on the rota. Alternatively it is available integrated with a variety of electronic clocking terminals that allow staff to automatically record their entry and exit at the workplace and, if implemented, gain access to the premises. Roster creation, attendance monitoring and payroll analysis
The e-Log+S scheduling system enables both smaller companies and larger organisations working across multiple departments or sites to rapidly create an employee roster that provides correct staff coverage for all job functions. Staff attendance can then be automatically compared against the work patterns of the roster to produce a complete payroll analysis and output. The system can cope with simple or complex pay schemes where individuals are paid different rates for working in different jobs and/or different times.

 

The product has been specifically designed for organisations that have long hours of operation, employ a high percentage of part time staff and have very flexible patterns of working.

 

Creating a rota is easy!

Starting from a blank sheet, any regular shifts, rotational work patterns or agreed contracted hours are automatically placed onto the rota. Then e-Log+S takes the headache out of filling the roster gaps! It highlights periods of under and over cover for each job function by automatic comparison against defined staffing needs and shows employees available to work. Staff can be placed on the roster against a standard shift, modified ‘standard’ shift or manually entered hours specifically set for an individual employee for a particular day or longer period by simple use of the mouse and ‘drawing’ their hours of work on a weekly grid. In this way, e-Log+S ensures a correct and cost efficient schedule is set to suit the needs of both employee and employer.

·     The staff schedule can be created from both regular shift patterns worked across any weekly cycle (for example one weekend in four weeks) and ad hoc attendance and compared against coverage needs to highlight ‘gaps’ in the rota.
·   Holiday sickness, maternity leave, shift requests and training hours can all be entered directly onto the rota across any current or future period.

·      Holiday absence is recorded in horus and days by selectable calculation methods per employee, enabling instant reporting of annual entitlement, taken and remaining.

·      Provides automated payroll analysis of the hours to be paid to each employee across any period at all applicable pay rates by automatically comparing attendance against a staff rota. If a match is found the hours are reported for payment. If no match is found an exception routine displays the details and the period can be paid, part paid or disallowed.

·      Multiple pay schemes can be operated within any single organisation to cope with employees that are paid differing rates according to the role they are performing, TUPE arrangements and merged operations.
·      Budgeted hours can be set per job function and reports compare this with paid hours showing a variance.

·      Roster printout can be for any date and time range and printed by job function and by person/job function and then placed on a web page, e-mailed individually, etc, if required.
·      Pay rates can be automatically varied on any public holiday.
·     Includes a comprehensive personnel database covering areas such as previous employment, supervisions/reviews, holidays taken, days of absence and reason, maternity leave and hours spent in training with reason.
·     Each employee’s contracted weekly hours can be defined and attendance reports compare this and show any variance.
·     Exceptions Summary highlights only where a shift does not coincide with attendance allowing the operator to decide if the shift should be paid or not, at which pay rate and for which job function.
·      Employee hours can be recorded electronically by using a wide range of time and attendance hardware and by completing web-based timesheets.

·     The roster can be changed after attendance data is received to reflect what shift hours were really worked and therefore what should be paid.

·      All reports can be e-mailed, output into Microsoft Excel and accessed via the Internet.
