Solutions for mobile and unsupervised worker management
Our ar-Log solution provides a unique and foolproof method of tracking staff through their working day in real time. The system works in conjunction with the employee’s mobile phone which is ‘paired’ by Bluetooth™ connection with the ar-Log handheld unit which they carry with them. On touching the Location Identifier with the handheld on arrival or departure, the mobile phone is automatically instructed to send a text message to a pre-defined telephone number. The SMS is received and passed it into the ar-Log software application where it is converted into an attendance record.
If you simply wish to record attendance times at various locations that are regularly visited by employees - without the need to know immediately that they have arrived - then our off-line a-Log system offers a reliable and low cost solution to your needs. The employee carries a battery powered handheld unit that they touch against a Location Identifier when they arrive or leave. The attendance record is held in the handheld device until it is downloaded by connecting it to a PC or laptop using the cable provided with the system.
Mobile phones and palmtops computers
On-line attendance tracking can also be provided through a wide range of mobile phones that operate with the Symbian environment® (for example Nokia and Sony Ericsson)and palmtop computers that run the Microsoft Windows Mobile® operating system. A configurable module of easyLog software is downloaded onto the hardware device. This allows the user to select the client site that they are visiting and confirm their start and end time of work/arrival by pressing a key or prompt. This data is automatically sent to the host system for recording and analysis within any of the easyLog software products.
This option makes economic sense if you have larger numbers of staff - including part time workers - attending smaller numbers of locations. The employees are issued with a low cost tag which they touch against an off-Line attendance recording terminal when they arrive and leave the site. The terminal requires mains power only and therefore has no need to be connected to a client's computer or telephone system. The attendance record at the site is downloaded to a data transfer tag when convenient and uploaded into the software application when placed in a reader connected to a PC.
If you want to know instantly that your staff have visited a site but do not wish or have connection to a client's computer or telephone system then are-Log is the option for you. Again the employees are issued with a low cost tag which they touch against an attendance recording terminal when they arrive and leave the site. The terminal requires mains power only and uses GPRS technology to send a message anywhere in the world (much like a SMS text but cheaper). The attendance record at the site is automatically transfered into the software application.
